Unveiling our Closet soon...

Hello everyone! Thank you sooo much for checking back here. Just a very short update on the recent happening in Ms LBK's life. This is what got Ms LBK so occupied with recently :) (beside of course the usual ever-active Lil Nat).

Unveiling this love 3 Oct 2013...
A Closet built with love, passion and commitment.

I'm very glad to be given the opportunity to do something of my interest, something fun and something  fabulous! Of course at this stage it is challenging, hiccups along the way, lots of learning & fine-tuning and squeezing every available time to work on it. But I definitely feel great and excited about it! And I'm thankful for supports along the way *weep weep...touching moments*.

Will be catching up soon (yupe, soon! How could I neglect this baby space of mine, right? Hehe..). Till then, take care!

What's In My Travel Cosmetics Pouch?

Hey there! I'm so glad to be back blogging in this little space again. I have been focusing on some other important stuff of late hence I was not able to blog so frequently. So sorry about it.

I'm currently in small sunny island of Singapore for a couple of days. Yeay!!! So I thought of sharing a post on What's In My Travel Cosmetics Pouch. I have to admit I'm never a light traveller...NEVER. When I travel whether for long or short trips, I'm always lugging stuff! Cosmetics are one of them. I carry essentials as well as extra items of each "category". When I pack my luggage, I will be thinking "Oh! What if I need this? What if I need that?". I ended squeezing every space of my luggage compartment!

Let's take a look of my travel cosmetics pouch...

Her Care Diary: Skincare

Hello everybody! I have been a little busy recently (with my new "project") and I'm expecting more  busy days ahead. But when one is doing something of their passion and interest, the feeling is AWESOME right? That's exactly what I am feeling right now! Will definitely share more when is ready, ya!

I'm posting here a series of my regime from skincare to bodycare to haircare which I'll like to call these segments as "Her Care Diary". I will share about the current products I'm using regularly and what they are. Since each segment will be quite lengthy, I'll break into a few posts so do check back regularly to read other segments. For this post, let's start it rolling with SKINCARE!

A weekend at Genting Highlands

Helloooo there! I got back from a super short (just overnight) Genting Highlands trip on Sunday. Been wanting to write up a post as quickly as possible after I came back. But I'm down with flu and cough bugs (now slowly developing into sore throat, eeeks!) so I don't have much mood and energy to pen down words. The trip was short, nice (bit tiring for me though) and I have soooo much excitement to share about!

Etude House Baking Powder Crunch Pore Scrub

Scrub is one of my favourite steps of my skincare regime. I like using them on weekly basis (I'm discipline about this!) and love the after-feel effect of scrubs - clean and fresh! To start a skincare review, I like to begin with one of my favourite scrubs... the Etude House Baking Powder Crunch Pore Scrub! Wait a minute...Baking Powder? Yupe, you didn't read it wrongly. Read more below to find out what this baking powder is all about! :)

From HOKKAIDO with love

It's another week of August! Wow, how time flies and I'm pretty excited as we will be going to Genting Highland for an overnight trip next weekend :) Can't wait to enjoy the cold breeze with a cuppa coffee at the highland! Time to flaunt my thick sweaters...weee!!!

My lovely cousin and Aunt just came back from Hokkaido, Japan as I have mentioned in my last post. They had such a fantastic time from the stories I have heard and pictures I have seen. Hokkaido looks so amazingly beautiful in many ways! Even though I was not there, I could feel the beauty of Hokkaido! And the time of their visit is the Lavender blooming season. How magnificent to see the great landscapes of flowers from their pictures...blooming so beautifully! And the seafood galore I saw from their pictures...Oh my! Being a huge seafood lover, I can't continue blogging having those images on my mind = =" Everything looks so nice and fresh!

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation

Hello lovelies! Hope the week has been good for you.

wanted to do a review post some time last week. But unfortunately :( I had an emergency appendicitis condition last Monday and had been admitted to the hospital for a surgery. I will talk about it in another post next time. All in conclusion, last week was awful with pain, swollen abdomen, anxiety of surgery (first time eh!), the recovery (which made me feel like I am in confinement!). Despite all that, I'm thankful I'm in good hands now with lots of care and concern from family and friends. I realized life is really about...you-don't-know-when-you'll-be-out-and-down.

Back to our post of the day, yeah, it is about Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation which has topped my Love List for foundation. I owned Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation before and it was an amazing love! Sadly Revlon discontinued it...how sad! That foundation was a hit among many people too. Since then I was trying out other brand foundations. When Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation was newly launched, I didn't take notice of it. My first impression is "oh well, this one looks thick".... I then read a couple of reviews of this baby and they are pleasantly good reviews! Curious as a cat, I went to try the testers. Wow, it didn't feel heavy on my hand upon  swatched. I know this baby has to go back with me ;)

Project Back in Shape

Hello everyone! How was your Sunday? I hope you had a fruitful weekend filled with lots of fun. Most importantly, hope you are fully recharged for the coming week!

In this post I just want to touch a little on weight issue. I don't know what's going on with my appetite lately. Arghh, it seems like my appetite is so enormous and I had so much sinful stuff over the months - lately especially!
I was looking at some pictures I was tagged in FB during a wedding of our friend in March this year. I was just about 3 1/2 months post-delivery. I loved how I looked back then (you know, there are those times when u can proudly say yeah that's my best look!). I was able to flaunt my new orange toga dress and wear tight fitting tops without the need to suck in the tummy!

Just over 4 months after the wedding, I now feel that my waistline and bottom has expanded so much - the best "person" to tell you that you have put on weight is your clothes! In addition, I also feel my face is looking slightly rounder and puffy (blame it on the salt?).
I must admit I have slacked...big time...lack of determination and discipline :( Boo hoo...!!!
There had been really too much junks, too much salt, too much sugar, too much MSG and overdose of carbo! Oh dear, where are all my inspirations to stay fit, healthy and feel-good-about-myself feeling that I got after my delivery??? I was very determined and staying so fit that I had people asked me how did I get my pre-delivery shape bck (in fact after delivery I was in better shape and weight than before I was preggy :") )

Starting Monday LBK wants to restart on "Project Back in Shape. So welcome healthier food, goodbye sinful food. Don't worry, I'm not going to stave myself to skeleton. Just going to watch out my diet, try to spend time on some exercises and be a little strict on the cravings!

Thanks for listening to my ramblings. Anyone experience this kind of yo-yo weight problem as well/before? Feel free to share your stories & your tips.

There will be a review on a foundation soon so stay tuned!

Lastly, let's stay fit, healthy and feel good about ourselves. Have a lovely day!

Hey Beatles!

What come across your mind when we mention pasar pagi/pasar malam (in English means morning/night market)? Vegetables, meat, poultry, fruits, seafood and snacks stuff? These markets have evolved! There are apparel, lingerie, kidswear and accessories stalls too. And don't be surprise we may dig some good buys from there! Buying stuff from pasar pagi/malam is no longer an auntish thing, seriously. Sometimes we can find nice stuff for younger people at a cheaper price compared to shops or boutiques.

Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo by Eyestudio Cream Eyeshadow

If someone asked me what are LBK best buys so far in 2013, I would happily say Maybelline 24 Hour Color Tattoo By Eyestudio cream eyeshadow is one of them! I'm impressed and I'll share with you why. When I read raving reviews about it plus 24 hour and tattoo on its name (double wow!!!), I told myself I got to try this baby!

Silkygirl Magic BB White Powder Foundation

I'm pretty excited!!! My first review...surprise, surprise it's Silkygirl...a drugstore brand. Don't get me wrong, overall this is a wallet-friendly brand with reasonably good items like their eye shadows (duo pallete which I used many many years back). It's just that I have "tons" of products (tons here is super mini collection in my definition compare to many makeup gurus & beauty bloggers out there but to my friends my collection is consider tons!) but I choose to start with Silkygirl Magic BB Powder Foundation :) This is my newest buy added to my makeup "collection". For that reason, I'm excited to share my thoughts on it!

Starting all over again

Hi lovelies! I started a blog some time back but it didn't get far. Blame it on my procrastination and my heavy workload last time. I have enjoyed so much reading blogs and reviews. And wanted to do the same. I feel updated and inspired (some bloggers from the blogs I regularly read are really awesome!). There are so much to learn from people out there!

So I'm starting all over again (YES for the motivation!!!)... To share my thoughts on things in life, good buys, product reviews, F&B and anything that caught my eyes & attention. And perhaps baby stuff too (oh yeah, LBK has upgraded to momma level).

Do enjoy your stay here. Stay connected!

p/s: Psst,  the joke about LBK nick has something to do with tennis :)
